Our Mission
Western Heritage Cultural Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable foundation established in 2023 by several individuals seeking to preserve the rich and colorful history of the Old West and its culture.

The foundation celebrates the rugged individualism of Old West characters throughout history including cowboys, Mexican American cowboys (charros) and Native-Americans. The foundation promotes the incomparable history of the American West through restorations and displays of wagons, old dress, horses, and horsemanship, as well as through educational exhibits and displays. The foundation also works with other organizations whose activities share the same objective.
Our Exhibit
On May 15, 2024, Western Cultural Heritage in conjunction with the El Paso Country Sheriff’s Posse installed a permanent Stagecoach display on the lower level of the El Paso International Airport. In keeping with our mission of teaching youth and others about the Western Culture in our region, this 125-year stagecoach is displayed where all people arriving in El Paso can see and experience the historical fixture.

This 9-passenger Concord coach was ordered on March 25, 1899. In the 18th and 19th century America, the stagecoach would become the major mode of transportation for the better part of two centuries. Despite their success, early stagecoaches were an uncomfortable experience for most people, the Concord stagecoach changed things dramatically. The arrival of the transcontinental railroad signaled the beginning of the end of the US stagecoach era. The memory and legacy of the iconic Concord stagecoach lives on as a symbol of America’s pioneering spirit and helped move our country into the future.
